“The Wave” Review

Directed by Roar Uthaug. With Kristoffer Joner, Ane Dahl Torp, Jonas Hoff Oftebro, Edith Haagenrud-Sande. Although anticipated, no one is really ready when the mountain pass above the scenic, narrow Norwegian fjord Geiranger collapses and creates an 85-meter high violent tsunami. A geologist is one of those caught in the middle of it.

Subtitles are the worst, but this movie is well worth the effort it takes to watch the text AND watch the movie at the same time. I was genuinely captured by the story and the intense anxiety that everyone was feeling wondering if something was actually happening or not.

Strongly suggest you check it out before it gets remade by some americans that just want an action film.
