Deepspacespines.com has added a new review for Peter David‘s “Star Trek: New Frontier: 5 Martyr”:
In today’s episode, when Captain Calhoun fits the profile of an ancient prophecy, he decides to lean into his celebrity status a bit. But when he disappears under mysterious circumstances, he leaves behind the horniest crew in the Beta Quadrant. Do Starfleet officers underrate yelling as a means of getting things done? Are Vulcans technically childfree? And what happens if you shut down a tricorder while it’s updating? All this and more in Martyr, the book that has some official pronoun updates for us.

Shastrix.com has added a new review for John Jackson Miller‘s “Star Trek: Discovery: Die Standing”:
The latest Star Trek: Discovery tie-in novel is set between seasons one and two of the TV series, though probably is best read after season two because it deals with some characters who hadn’t previously appeared in the series. The novel follows Philippa Georgiou as she is drawn into an investigation into an attack on a starship that bears a striking resemblance to other events in her earlier life.

Tags:Collin Kelly, Dailystartreknews.com, New Book Review
Dailystartreknews.com has added a new review for Collin Kelly‘s “Star Trek #15”:
In issue #15 of Star Trek, a captivating narrative unfolds that skilfully navigates the delicate balance between exposition and action. Captain Sisko and his crew find themselves entangled in a complex diplomatic mission with the Tzenkethi, a war-prone reptilian species. The Romulans’ entry into the picture adds a layer of tension, setting the stage for a perilous Festival of Supremacy.

Trekcentral.net has added a new review for Collin Kelly‘s “Star Trek #15”:
Captain Sisko’s dangerous diplomatic mission with the Tzenkethi continues in this month’s Star Trek Issue #15! For peace to thrive, for the sake of the Alpha Quadrant’s continued existence, they must prevail. However, the Romulans are of course standing in the way of Sisko’s victory. Nothing is ever quite as simple as it seems in space diplomacy. With so many factions at play, I do hope that there’s enough time for a spot of action.

“Star Trek: Lower Decks – Crew Handbook” Review by Trekmovie.com
Tags:Chris Farnell, New Book Review, TrekMovie.com
Trekmovie.com has added a new review for Chris Farnell‘s “Star Trek: Lower Decks – Crew Handbook”:
In 1975, Franz Joseph’s Star Trek Star Fleet Technical Manual took the sorts of publications that Trek fans had long printed on their own to the glossy, professional, licensed fold. Taking the form of a future document mistakenly transmitted to Earth computers during the Star Trek: The Original Series episode, “Tomorrow is Yesterday,” the Technical Manual explored many areas of the Star Trek world that fans had long discussed, including charts, illustrations, and documents that fascinated and unpacked the Star Trek universe. The Star Trek Lower Decks U.S.S. Cerritos Crew Handbook stands in the tradition of the Star Fleet Technical Manual and other books of this style like Mr. Scott’s Guide to the Enterprise, the Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual, but with a distinctly “Lower Decks” twist.

Tags:New Book Review, Roqoodepot.wordpress.com, Una McCormack
Roqoodepot.wordpress.com has added a new review for Una McCormack‘s “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: The Missing”:
Una McCormack has been a really solid author for me. I’ve read three of her books previously. The Crimson Shadow from The Fall Series and The Last Best Hope from the Picard series are top tier Star Trek novels. Seriously, in my top 10 for sure! Unfortunately, Second Self was a bit of a let down, but her track record overall has been excellent. And I”m happy to report…this book is also excellent!

Over the past two months I’ve been reading and reviewing Picard’s Academy issues 1 and 2. You can read my review for issue 1 here and issue 2 here. I absolutely loved issue 1 but was a little disappointed with issue 2 so I was worried about the newest issue. However, there was no need to fear as I loved this issue.

“Star Trek: Picard: The Last Best Hope” Review by Shastrix.com
Tags:New Book Review, Shastrix.com, Una McCormack
Shastrix.com has added a new review for Una McCormack‘s “Star Trek: Picard: The Last Best Hope”:
The Last Best Hope is the first tie-in novel for the new Star Trek: Picard TV series, in which we return to the era of the Next Generation to find out what’s been happening some 25 years later. The novel serves as a prequel to the series, and fills in the detail of some of the events 14 years earlier, charting how the effects of events depicted in the 2009 movie affected this, the prime timeline, and led directly to where me meet Picard now.

I loved talking with Terence and Janice so much about their wonderful music for such a fabulous game. The music for Tunic is a glorious blend of synths and acoustic piano, with waves of (often) consonant sound. Plus, you get to play as an adorable fox!
